LA MUELA, Alarilla Township in Guadalajara

“La Alcarria” from a bird´s eye

This place is ideal for large groups because of its convenience, easy access to the top, parking availability, the good environment that’s gathered on the weekends and for the pubs and restaurants that are near the take-off site. To all this also add up the fact that it’s the place with the most possible flying days on the outskirts of Madrid. 280 metres of height difference, ideal for pupils and for the ‘fearful ones’. Sunsets at ‘La Muela’ are of an intense orange tone that tint the fields at the foot of the mountains and dye the sky captive colours like in the background image.

If you also decide to spend the weekend in the surroundings, we recommend El Huerto del Abuelo, a countryside house that not only offers excellent accommodation and spa services; it also has a great layout of active tourism activities.

The best route to ‘La Muela’ from Madrid is taking the highway A2 and then the Jadraque exit (Km 61). Arriving to the ‘Torre del Burgo’, turn left at the intersection just before the petrol station, on Humanes direction. On this road you’ll see the turn to Alarilla. It’s easy to access to the top of the mountain with any type of vehicle. You only have to enter the town through the first entrance that you’ll find and follow straight up the hill. You’ll end up on a well paved cement road that will lead you to the top of ‘La Muela’. We’ll receive you there.

The flight at this location is a ‘Baptism Flight’ type, for 59€.
